CollegeGrad.com presents "The Best Format for Your E-mail Resume." Watch this video to learn how to succeed in your job search.
Hi, everyone. I'm Brian Krueger with CollegeGrad.com and this is The Job Search Minute. What is the best format for your e-mail resume? When sending your resume to an individual for networking purposes, attach your resume in Microsoft Word format. Avoid the use of unique fonts, which may not be installed on the recipient’s computer. If you are using unique fonts and want to retain the overall formatting, you can use Adobe Acrobat to send your resume in PDF format. When sending your resume to a generic e-mail address to respond to a job posting, attach it in Microsoft Word and include a plain text resume attachment, which can easily be read as input by applicant tracking systems. One footprint in, and one for system input. This has been The Job Search Minute, for more career information please visit CollegeGrad.com.
